Book Review: 曖昧 by 林心紅
老實說，當初會看這本書是因為三個字「五月天」．我很好奇作著指的是五月的天，還是那個名為「五月天」的樂團．．．
其實這本小說有如作著在後記寫的，是一本很平淡的小說．它沒有起起落落的劇情，也沒有一些會發人生醒的字句．有的就是淡淡的愛情．當然，還是會有些劇情讓我一度想要掉淚，可也就這樣而已．你說小說不好看嗎？也不完全正確．可能就不是那麼精采就是了．
不過（我也不曉得為什麼），這本小說卻讓我更加了解了「溫柔」這兩個字．其實作著並沒有很明顯的形容，可是卻給了我這樣的感覺．以前覺得「溫柔」就是 gentle，當然歌也唱了不一樣的「溫柔」，可是我並沒有真正的領悟到．可是看完了這本小說，我反而清楚的看到不同主角的溫柔．尤其美眉對靜的那種溫柔更是明顯．原來溫柔也可以這樣講．
我很喜歡作著在後記寫的一段話
．．．基本上，「同性戀」或者「雙性戀」這樣的名詞一直是異性戀者所訂定的，如果可以的話，我願意說，阿信、美眉和黃靜他們彼此相愛，那份感情早就已經超越了是不是「同性戀」的問題，因為真正的愛，是不需要有性別的，黃靜喜歡阿信，並不是因為他是男的，或是因為他的性別，而是因為他是阿信．

有一點要說的是，當我看到「同性戀」的題材時，我有點錯愕．因為其實我的下一個小說的構想也是想寫這個題材，而且是想要到了最後才讓人知道是同性的那種．有點相這本小說．只是這本小說在中間就揭曉答案了．我也同樣想用「靜」這個名字，可是沒想到．．．不知道是不是因為「擁抱」的關係，所以受他們啟發的小說就愛用「同性戀」為題材．

The Chicken
One day, the egg hatched and a beautiful eagle was born. Sadly, however, the eagle was raised to be a chicken. Soon, the eagle believed he was nothing more than a chicken. The eagle loved his home and family, but his spirit cried out for more. While playing a game on the farm one day, the eagle looked to the skies above and noticed a group of mighty eagles soaring in the skies. "Oh," the eagle cried, "I wish I could soar like those birds." The chickens roared with laughter, "You cannot soar with those birds. You are a chicken and chickens do not soar."
The eagle continued staring, at his real family up above, dreaming that he could be with them. Each time the eagle would let his dreams be known, he was told it couldn't be done. That is what the eagle learned to believe. The eagle, after time, stopped dreaming and continued to live his life like a chicken. Finally, after a long life as a chicken, the eagle passed away.
The moral of the story: You become what you believe you are; so if you ever dream to become an eagle follow your dreams, not the words of a chicken.

Got this thru an email from a friend... i find that its similar to the two lines of lyrics for 看清. The expectations from parents, friends, families and even oneself tend to tie us down. Its not that they are the chickens... in real life things are not so simple like in the story... when we dream big they tend to tell us to be more practical which in a way is also necessary...
so its contridicting.. in one you want to pursue your dreams and fulfill it.. but in another you have to be practical to survive.... so the moral is to strike a balance of both.. how to do it is the art tat we need to learn....

"有啊．"當然啦，那是每個男生童年時的玩伴．
"我印象最深刻的是有好幾隻機器獅子，分別給不同的人操縱，他們各有各的武器，單打獨鬥時卻總贏不了大魔王，但是只要他們結合在一起，有人作手，有人作腳，有人作身體，就會合體成為一個刀槍不入的戰士，他們結合的力量，居然可以把最厲害的魔王給打倒喔！"

Book Review: 日光香港．台北雨 by 張家衛＆張曦勻
今早剛看完了＜＜日光香港．台北雨＞＞這兩本小說．兩本？對．這是一個很特別的小說．同樣的愛情故事，由男作家寫出男生觀點的一本，再由女作家寫出女生觀點的另一本．故事是說男女主角分手後的一段日子．中間當然有很多他們回憶的片段，也有他們對彼此的想法．所以可以很清楚的從兩方面知道男女主角當時的感覺和心情．我想這是這部小說最特別的地方吧．
我是先看完女生的那本的．我很慶幸我是那樣看得．因為女生那本的文筆會比較容易懂，故事的流程也比較順．而男生那本，作者是用像寫詩那樣把小說完．再加上男作者本身是香港人，所以在用詞上有時會怪怪的．害我有時不知道自己在讀什麼．可是我必須所他卻寫了很多很發人生醒的話．很多很多美妙的句子．相對於女作家只是把故事交代而已．所以真的要讀，就必須把兩本小說都讀完吧．
對了，忘了提＜＜妙手仁心＞＞，＜＜天地豪情＞＞，＜＜甜蜜蜜＞＞和＜＜金枝玉葉＞＞都是男作家的作品喔．

小的時候對未來會有很多很多憧憬。

Cup or Water?
A group of working adults got together to visit their University lecturer. The Lecturer was happy to see them. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
The Lecturer just smiled and went to the kitchen to get an assortment of cups - some porcelain, some in plastic, some in glass, some plain looking and some looked rather expensive and exquisite.
The Lecturer offered his former students the cups to get drinks for themselves.
When all the students had a cup in hand with water, the Lecturer spoke:
"If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving
behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal that you only want the
best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all you wanted was water, not the cup, but we unconsciously went for the better cups."
"Just like in life, if Life is Water, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold/maintain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change."
"If we only concentrate on the cup, we won't have time to enjoy the water in it."

Got this story from an email forwarded to me from my friend... it applies to life yes.. and it also applies to the circle as well... not only them but we are also making the same mistake on concentrating on things and in the end we are not enjoying as we should...

我們的年代 － 張家衛
我們於一個最好的年代成長，但我們出來社會所面對的卻是一個最差的年代。

確實如此。當時沒有那麼多恐怖主意，經濟也很蓬勃。可是當我們踏出社會時，就碰到了經濟風暴，股價大跌，失業率上升，裁員等問題。好像那還不夠，恐怖主意和自然災害也來插上一腳。搞得我們在擔心害怕中過日子。現在可能經濟在慢慢的復蘇，人們也習慣了恐怖主意可是那還不是以前的那個年代。所以我們應該算是幸福，因為曾經度過這樣的一個年代，還是不幸，因為有了那樣的年代讓我們對一些東西措手不及？
